Connect ChatGPT
ChatGPT adds custom connectors by hand, and there is no one-click link for it. It takes about two minutes. Menu names change, so if one differs, look for the equivalent.
1. Turn on developer mode
In ChatGPT open Settings → Connectors → Advanced and switch on Developer mode. It depends on your plan. On a workspace plan an admin may need to enable it first.
2. Create the connector
Under Settings → Connectors choose Create and fill in:
- Name
Byte Minus Insights - Description
Google Search Console data: queries, pages, trends and SEO opportunities - MCP server URL
https://gsc.byteminus.com/mcp - AuthenticationOAuth (leave any client ID or secret fields empty)
Tick the box confirming you trust the app, then create it.
3. Sign in and approve
ChatGPT sends you to Google sign-in here. Approve read-only Search Console access, choose which properties ChatGPT may see, and click Authorize.
4. Use it
In a new chat, open the tools menu in the message box, switch Byte Minus Insights on, and ask, for example, "Which queries am I ranking 8–20 for on example.com?"
This service is new and ChatGPT has not been tested against it yet. If the connector fails to set up, tell us what error it shows.
